A typical day around the campus...

The kids in the clinic are not attending school... so they are usually playing under the mango tree or playing cards for hours...

Some of the older girls in the orphanage are learning how to sew and make clothing.

My little men. It's nice to see how well the children get along and how they can accept others with disabilities. The older children help take care of the younger ones.

Behind the orphanage the montons (spelling!?! lol), or housemothers, wash the laundry with lye soap in large basins and then hang it out to try. The children's clothing is virtually stain free which is amazing! Who needs Tide when you have TLC+Lye!

My little man Jamel.

Playing out in the playground...

Social workers and psychologists are recently started coming to the New Life Children's Home to help. It's really been a nice transition into an interdisciplinary team between all health care workers.

On Friday, April 9, the rain season officially started. It poured for hours. The tents in the courtyard were flooded and there were a lot of puddles in the morning.
